Covid-19; 25 new cases, 35 recoveries in U’khand

The state health department reported 25 new cases of the novel Coronavirus (Covid-19) and 35 recoveries from the disease on Monday. Death of no patient from the disease was reported on the day. The cumulative count of Covid-19 patients in the state is now at 3,43,125 while a total of 3,29,306 patients have recovered from the disease so far. In the state 7388 people have lost their lives to Covid -19 till date. The recovery percentage from the disease is at 95.97 while the sample positivity rate on Monday was 0.15 per cent.

The state health department reported eight new patients of Covid -19 from Dehradun, four from Almora,  three from Uttarkashi, two each from Champawat, Pauri and Rudraprayag and one each from Chamoli, Haridwar, Nainital and Udham Singh Nagar district on Monday. No new cases of the disease were reported from the Bageshwar, Pithoragarh and Tehri districts on the day.  

The state now has 379 active cases of Covid-19. Dehradun with 166 cases is at the top of the table of active cases while Pauri has 49 active cases. On Monday Tehri district became the only district in the state to have no active cases of the disease.

In the ongoing vaccination drive 76,060 people were vaccinated in 1086 sessions in the state held on Monday. As per the data of the state health department 67,91,439 people in the state have received the first dose of vaccine while 21,92,956 have received both doses of the vaccine.
