Hemkund Sahib reopened ceremoniously

The Hemkund Sahib Gurudwara was ceremoniously reopened to the public on Saturday. About 2,000 persons visited the shrine on the day of its reopening. Earlier on Friday, the Panch Pyare led the first batch of Sikh devotees from Govindghat towards Hemkund Sahib. They rested the night at Ghanghariya Gurudwara and reached Hemkund Sahib on Saturday morning. The Gurudwara was reopened ceremoniously at 9:30 AM. The pilgrimage to Hemkund Sahib is slated to continue till October. All those undertaking this pilgrimage can register either online or offline. Registration is compulsory for all those undertaking the pilgrimage. From the viewpoint of security and convenience of the public, the authorities have set a limit of allowing upto 3,500 people to visit Hemkund Sahib daily.
