The Municipal Corporation of Dehradun (MCD) is planning to conduct a mega sanitation campaign on the occasion of Gandhi Jayanti. The chief municipal health officer Dr Kailash Joshi said that all the sanitation workers along with the councillors will work together to make the sanitation campaign successful on October 2. He said that with this campaign, the corporation aims to raise awareness among locals about maintaining cleanliness outside their homes too which many neglect. He also said that the MCD is not solely responsible for maintaining sanitation in the city while adding that public involvement is equally crucial to maintain sanitation and proper hygiene.
