In latest news from Uttarakhand, ahead of the consecration of Ram Lala in Ayodhya, a special sanitation campaign was conducted in various tehsils. While the government officers and employees of several departments, civic body employees, youths and volunteers were engaged in the drive it was led by the chief development officer Uttarkashi Jai Kishan. The CDO said that the objective of the drive was to make the people aware of separating organic waste from inorganic waste. “This is important for it will help recycling of garbage easier,” he added. He further said that about 30 bags of waste had been collected in course of the cleanliness drive conducted in the Vikas Bhawan premises later handed over to the municipality.
