In latest news from Doon, after the six-month winter break, the portals of the revered Kedarnath shrine will be ritualistically opened at 7 am on May 10. As per the schedule firmed up at the religious congregation at Omkareshwar temple in Ukhimath on the occasion of Mahashivratri, the panchmukhi doli yatra will start from Ukhimath-the winter abode of the Lord-on May 6 and reach Kedarnath Dham on May 9 in the evening. Informing this, the president of Shri Badri Kedar Mandi Samiti Ajendra Ajay said that as the date of portal opening has been fixed, preparations would start for the Doli yarta soon.
