The Bharatiya Janata Party state election in-charge and union minister Pralhad Joshi has said that it is vital for the polling agents to be aware and alert. He expressed confidence stating that the party will win the Assembly election and form the next government in Uttarakhand with two-third majority. Joshi said this while speaking the meeting of the party leaders and office bearers aimed at finalising preparations for March 10- the day of counting votes polled in the Vidhan Sabha elections.

Joshi said that the party workers should reach the counting venue before time and remain fully alert till the last electronic voting machine (EVM) is opened. He said, “We are winning this election with a comfortable majority and will form the government with two-third majority. However, in the happiness of victory one should not drop attention from the EVMs. We have to make all possible effort to pay full attention to the EVMs. Do not start the celebration till the votes in the last EVM are counted,” said Joshi.

The BJP State president Madan Kaushik requested the party worker to remember that each minute is important in the counting of votes. “We have to be careful to ensure that the opponents are not able to take advantage of our carelessness. Our workers should reach the counting venue before time and remain there till victory is confirmed,” said the BJP state president.

Addressing the party members on the occasion, chief minister Pushkar Singh Dhami said that the BJP is receiving the blessings of the public. He stressed on the need for all party members to be especially attentive towards the counting of votes. The chief minister further said that the alertness of the party workers has always been the medium of the party’s victory and that this view should be maintained even during the counting of votes.

The BJP state general secretary (organisation) Ajey Kumar claimed that the party is forming the next government in the state with the full support and blessings of the people of Uttarakhand. He said that the party workers should discharge the task allotted to them till the last minute.
