Govt approves two year diploma course in seven disciplines

The state administration has granted permission to the Government Medical College, Srinagar to start post MBBS diploma courses in seven disciplines.  In a letter the secretary, state health services Amit Singh Negi said that the college can start two year post MBBS diploma course from the current academic session in Anaesthesia, Obstetrics and Gynaecology, radiodiagnosis, paediatrics, ophthalmology, ENT and Family medicine. Expressing happiness on the decision, the Principal of the government medical college Srinagar, Dr CMS Rawat told The Pioneer that admissions in 34 seats in these seven disciplines would be given to the students. He said that the college had permission to give admission to 125 students in MBBS and has a PG course in anatomy.
