Covid-19; 69 new patients reported on Thursday

The tally of novel Coronavirus (Covid-19) patients in Uttarakhand mounted to 97634 on Thursday with the state health department reporting 69 new cases of the disease. The authorities discharged 26 patients of the disease from different hospitals on Thursday following their recovery from the disease. A total of 93884 patients have so far recovered from the disease in the state.  The recovery percentage from the disease now stands at 96.16 and the sample positivity rate is 3.87 percent. One patient of the disease was reported dead by the health department on the day after which the death toll mounted to 1698 in the state. 

The health department reported 25 new patients of the disease in Haridwar, 22 from Dehradun, 15 from Nainital, three from Pauri, two from Bageshwar and one each Rudraprayag and Udham Singh Nagar district on Thursday.

 No new patients were reported from Almora, Chamoli, Champawat, Pithoragarh, Tehri and Uttarkashi districts on the day. The state now has 642 active patients of Covid-19 with Haridwar at top with 194 cases. Meanwhile 2951 people were vaccinated in 83 sessions on Thursday. A total of 70985 people have so far fully vaccinated in the state.
