The president of Uttarakhand BJP Mahendra Bhatt has said that the Congress leaders including former Chief Minister Harish Rawat have become totally disoriented while trying to portray themselves as secular. He said that the comments made by Rawat and Congress leaders on demolition of illegal Majars in the State are appeasement politics and an insult for the Sanatan Dharma. Bhatt added that the Congress leaders who consistently claim about Uttarakhandiyat should take inspiration from their own MLA Madan Bisht in this regard.

Launching an attack on the Congress leaders, the BJP state president said that they have insulted the Sanatan Dharma by comparing the temples with the illegal Majars. He challenged Rawat and other leaders of Congress party to come out openly in support of illegal Majars. He said that the people of Dev Bhoomi would not tolerate insults of their religion and deities.

Bhatt said that it has been in everyone’s knowledge that the illegal Majars have no human remains underneath and were made under a part of conspiracy for land encroachment.

He said that notwithstanding the resistance of Congress and other opposition parties the Dhami government would completely destroy all these illegal structures which have become a challenge for culture and law and order in the State.
