The state health department reported only 66 new cases of Covid-19 and death of one patient from the disease on Sunday. The authorities also declared 25 patients cured on the day.
The department has so far detected 91,289 new cases of the disease from January 1 this year till date. A total of 86,857 patients have recovered from the disease so far in this year while 262 patients have died in the state since January 1 this year. The recovery percentage of the disease was at 95.15 per cent on Sunday. The positivity rate of the disease was reported at 1.20 per cent on the day.
The health department reported 31 new patients from Dehradun, nine from Chamoli and eight from Haridwar on Sunday. No patient was detected in Almora, Bageshwar and Udham Singh Nagar districts on the day.
The active case count of Covid-19 in the state is now at 982. Dehradun with 327 cases is at the top of the table of active cases while Haridwar has 102 active cases of the disease. Bageshwar is at the bottom of the table with nine active cases. In the ongoing vaccination drive 4,044 people were vaccinated in 389 sessions in the state held on Sunday.
