It is learnt that the BJP legislators of Uttarakhand would attend a three-day training programme starting on April 8. The issues of the MLA’s protocol and the trend of the ascendency of the bureaucracy would figure in the programme. It is also learnt that the Prime Minister Narendra Modi and the Union Home Minister Amit Shah would impart lessons to the ruling party MLAs of the state virtually on political, electoral and organisational matters.
The state BJP chief Mahendra Bhatt met Shah in Haridwar and sought time for his virtual participation in the training programme. It is further learnt that Bhatt has left for Delhi to make the same participation request to the central leaders of the party. The state BJP sources said that though the dates have been tentatively fixed for the three-day programme things will be confirmed after consultation with the central party leaders.
