‘Asymptomatic patients need not get tested for Covid’

The patients who have no symptoms need not get tested for Covid-19. Stating this, the nodal officer for Covid-19 in Government Doon Medical College (GDMC) and pulmonary diseases expert, Dr Anurag Agarwal said that those aged above 60 years and high risk patients including those suffering from diabetes and other serious health issues should get tested for Covid-19. The Covid infected patients who are displaying mild symptoms should remain under home isolation for seven days, he added.

The GDMC principal Dr Ashutosh Sayana has directed all the heads of departments to ensure that patients do not face any type of inconvenience while accessing OPD, IPD, vaccination, sampling and other services at the hospital.

According to the GDMC hospital officials, 35 Covid patients are admitted in the hospital while more than 700 patients visited the OPD on Thursday.
