BJP state president tells ministers to maximise district visits

The ministers in-charge of districts should tour the districts as much as possible while also coordinating with the district level organisation and party workers. This was stated in a meeting of the Bharatiya Janata Party with the council of ministers here on Saturday. The BJP State president Banshidhar Bhagat presided over the meeting in the presence of the chief minister Trivendra Singh Rawat and the party’s national joint general secretary (organisation), Shiv Prakash.

The BJP state president said that in the meeting of the government and the organisation, the ministers in-charge were asked to maximise their visits to the districts. They have also been asked to inform the party’s district head concerned about the tour programme. Further, the ministers have been told that night stay will be mandatory during their district tours and that they will also have to hold a meeting with the BJP coordination team of that district. Bhagat further informed that the ministers have also been told that their programme should be communicated also to the party’s divisional head of the district they are visiting. They have also been told to have a meal or refreshments at any party worker of the division concerned during their visit, added the BJP state president.

The ministers were also told to inspect the growth centres established to facilitate self employment and a self reliant India. They should also encourage the people towards self-employment, said Bhagat. Various office bearers of the party and all ministers were present in the meeting except Harak Singh Rawat who was absent due to health reasons.
