Women taking forward glorious tradition of State: CM

 Chief minister Pushkar Singh Dhami has said that the women of the State are taking forward the rich and the glorious tradition of Uttarakhand. The country has moved ahead of development of the women theme and is now talking about leadership to women. The CM was addressing the meeting of the State executive council of Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) Mahila Morcha at Parmarth Niketan at Rishikesh on Monday.

Terming the female power as a superpower, the CM said that women enjoyed supreme power as enshrined in Indian culture. In our culture there is tradition to worship the female deities along with the reverence of Ardhanarishwar. He said that under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, India is returning back to its ancient culture and contemplations.

Under the leadership of PM Modi, a picture of New India is emerging and in this Women are in position of leadership. The Modi government has helped the Muslim women in living a life of dignity by ending the malpractice of Triple Talaq. He said that it was PM Modi who had started the campaign of Beti Bachao Beti Padhao in the country.

 The CM said that the Uttarakhand government has taken unprecedented steps for the welfare of women in the State. “ You can understand the commitment of our government for the speed in which it worked to provide 30 per cent reservation to women in government jobs,’’ he said.

 The CM said that the target of the State government is to make Uttarakhand, the best State in the country and the blessing of women power is needed to accomplish this target. Dhami said that he is confident that the meeting of the executive body of Mahila Morcha would help in fulfilling the commitment ‘Shashakt Matrishakti, Shashakt Rajya’ of the State government.

 The president of Mahila Morcha Asha Nautiyal, Yamkeshwar MLA Renu Bisht and others were present on the occasion. The head of the Parmarth Niketan Swami Chidanand welcomed the CM on his arrival.
