The administration has collected this data through various district officials like sub divisional magistrates (SDMs), Child Development Project Officers (CDPOs) and Anganwadi workers to identify the potential beneficiaries of Mukhyamantri Vatsalya Yojana (MVY).

The district probation officer (DPO) Meena Bisht said that she has received the data of about 550 potential beneficiaries which was collected in about the last 30 days. Out of these potential beneficiaries, more than 500 children are those who lost one parent while about 50 children are those who lost both parents to Covid-19 disease, informed Bisht.

According to her, the verification procedure of the children marked as potential beneficiaries is also under process. She said that the eligible beneficiaries will get the benefits under MVY from July 1. Even those children, who will be found as potential beneficiaries in the later months, will receive the intended benefits from the month of July after being verified as eligible beneficiaries under MVY, informed Bisht.

It is pertinent to mention here that the State Government has announced to provide free education, ration and health facilities besides providing monthly financial support of Rs 3000 to the eligible beneficiaries of MVY till they attain the age of 21 years.
