Four persons died in a road accident in Lansdowne tehsil in Pauri district when the car they were travelling in plunged into a 300m deep gorge on Tuesday night. It is learnt that the car was heading towards Devdali village. On being informed of the accident, police and SDRF teams rushed to the site and pulled the bodies out of the gorge. The Pauri district magistrate Ashish Chauhan also reached the spot soon after the accident.
The deceased were identified as Dinesh Singh (63), Chandra Mohan Singh (62), Atul Bisht (40) and Kamal Bisht (45), all residents of village Devdali of Patti Koriya under Lansdowne tehsil.
