Deepak Bali made new State chief of AAP

Party sets its sights on contesting coming municipal elections

The Aam Aadmi Party has made Deepak Bali its new State president. Bali is a senior party leader from Kashipur who was also the party’s candidate from the constituency in the Assembly elections. The AAP State in-charge Dinesh Mohaniya declared Bali as the party’s new State chief in the party’s State office here on Friday. Mohaniya claimed that the AAP is a party which focuses on work. The manner in which the party had contested from all 70 constituencies in the 2022 Assembly election shows that the public has affection for the party, he opined. “We are not sad at our electoral loss. The party will work harder in the future than it did in the Assembly elections. The AAP will consistently indulge in the politics of work,” averred Mohaniya.

The party’s new State president thanked the party’s top leadership for placing their trust in him. He said, “The AAP worker does not run away but wins and learns. While being the party’s State president I will also remain active as a party worker. The party organisation will be strengthened and expanded soon,” he said.

Party leaders said that the AAP will contest the coming municipal elections will all its strength under the leadership of its new State president. The party will hold internal deliberations to decide on whether to contest the Champawat by-election soon.

It will be recalled that the previous State president of the AAP, SS Kaler had resigned from the post in September last year after the party’s central leadership had chosen him to contest the Assembly elections from the Khatima constituency. He had served as the party’s State chief for a period of three years.
