Kaushik to formally assume charge as BJP State chief on Monday

The newly appointed Bharatiya Janata Party state president Madan Kaushik reiterated that the party honours women and statehood activists, adding that the state will be developed as per the visions of the statehood movement martyrs. Kaushik said this while paying his respects at the statehood martyrs memorial at the collectorate on Saturday a day after being appointed to the position of the party’s state president. Kaushik will assume the charge formally on March 15.

He said that the BJP is committed to development in the state and will work to ensure that development reaches the last person in the state. Kaushik then went to the Deendayal Upadhyay park where he garlanded the statue of Pandit Deendayal Upadhyay. Later, he garlanded the statue of BR Ambedkar near Clock Tower.

Meanwhile, the BJP state media incharge Manveer Singh Chauhan informed that Kaushik will formally assume charge as the party’s state president on Monday at the party’s State office here. Chief minister Tirath Singh Rawat, previous BJP state president and current cabinet minister Banshidhar Bhagat will also be present in the function to be held at 1 PM. Kaushik and the party workers will reach the party’s state office in a rally which will begin at the BJP Mahanagar office near Parade Ground.
