THDCIL & SJVN Foundation sign MoU to develop high-performance sports academy in Tehri

To promote water sports, THDC India Limited (THDCIL) and SJVN Foundation (a trust of SJVN Limited) inked a memorandum of understanding on Friday to establish THDCIL High-Performance Academy in Tehri Power Complex in Uttarakhand. The SJVNL general manager Awadhesh Prasad and THDCIL general manager Amardeep signed the MoU at SJVNL office in Delhi.
Speaking on it, the chairman and managing director of THDCIL RK Vishnoi said that the MoU would not only help provide affordable power 24×7 to the nation but also unleash the power of sports by creating infrastructure and providing platform to groom budding athletic talent on way to the materialisation of Viksit Bharat vision. He also referred to two national-level water sports events held in Tehri in 2022 and 2023.
