Sunday 24 April 2022 | PNS | Nainital

A cultural heritage gallery has been set up by the American Field Service (AFS) at the All Saints’ College in Nainital. The purpose behind setting up this gallery is to encourage the children to learn about the nation’s cultural heritage and motivate them to respect other cultures.  As part of this initiative, students of class VI to XII have decorated a corridor in the school with glimpses of culture from various Indian states. The representations include the dresses worn by people of various States, their food, aspects of their lifestyle and other features like prominent attractions of some States and various details about different States. The students have made an attempt to depict the varied culture and unity of the nation through this exhibit. Students of classes I to V also viewed this exhibition. They got to learn more about the nation and its culture than the aspects written in books. The exhibition was inaugurated by the school principal Kiran Jeremiah. Appreciating the effort made by the students, the principal exhorted them to undertake such efforts in the future too and always remain connected to the rich culture of the nation. Attachments area
