Noted orthopaedic surgeon and Padma Shri recipient Dr BKS Sanjay was felicitated by the Vedic Sadhan Ashram and Arya Pratinidhi Sabha. Speaking on the occasion, Dr Sanjay said that health, education and nutrition are the fundamental needs of every individual.
Thought is the primary source of all actions and any thought can be spread only through the medium of education. Referring to Arya Samaj founder Dayanand Saraswati, Dr Sanjay said that he understood the value of education and hence used to emphasise to his followers that it is the duty of parents to educate their children and inculcate moral values in them. “Currently in India the practice of ambiguous or dual character is being seen in our country.
Though we have the motto of Satyamev Jayate inscribed below the national emblem, it seems that certain people do not believe in this concept. If such a situation continues in our country then one can anticipate what will be the future of our nation. The growth and development of the nation does not depend only on physical closeness of citizens but because of similarity of their thoughts. I believe that education should be given to all and it should be cheap, similar and quality education. I believe when we all get similar education then we will all think similarly for the greater good,” said Dr Sanjay.
