THDCIL conducts boiler hydro test in Bulandshahar

THDC India Limited said that it had successfully conducted boiler hydro test of unit-1 of its under-construction coal based 2X660 MW Khurja Super Thermal Power Plant (STPP) in Bulandshahar district, Uttar Pradesh on Thursday. NTPC Limited chairman and managing director Gurdeep Singh, THDCIL chairman and managing director Rajeev Vishnoi, NTPC director (Project) Ujjwal Kanti Bhattacharya, THDCIL director (Finance) J Behera and Khurja STPP executive director Kumar Sharad were present during the test.  

THDCIL officials said that the boiler hydro test had been conducted to test the integrity of 52,209 welding joints in boiler tubes. 

Vishnoi said that that THDCIL has achieved this milestone on time and is moving ahead in time toward the completion of the project. The successful completion of the hydro test is an important milestone for THDCIL towards achieving the target of commissioning this STPP by February 2024.
