Even as the state continues to experience warmer days, light rain and snowfall has been forecast in some parts of the state on Monday. The State meteorological centre has forecast the likelihood of very light to light rainfall / snowfall occurring at isolated places in Uttarkashi, Chamoli and Pithoragarh districts on Monday. Apart from this, dry weather is likely to prevail in remaining districts of Uttarakhand. Further, snowfall is likely to occur at places located at altitudes of 3,500 metres and above. The provisional state capital Dehradun is forecast to experience mainly clear to partly cloudy sky. The maximum and minimum temperatures here are likely to be about 28 degrees Celsius and 13 degrees Celsius respectively on Monday.
Meanwhile the maximum and minimum temperatures reported in various parts of the state on Sunday were 25.6 degrees Celsius and 12.8 degrees Celsius respectively in Dehradun, 26.7 degrees Celsius and 9.2 degrees Celsius in Pantnagar, 18.9 degrees Celsius and nine degrees Celsius in Mukteshwar and 19.6 degrees Celsius and 10 degrees Celsius respectively in New Tehri.
