Covid-curfew extended to June 29 with more relaxations

The State Government has decided to extend the ongoing Covid-curfew till June 29 with more relaxations. The decision was taken in a meeting chaired by Chief Minister Tirath Singh Rawat to review the Covid-19 situation in the state.

Informing about the decision, the State Government spokesman and Cabinet Minister Subodh Uniyal informed that now the market will be open five days during the week from 8 AM to 5 PM and remain closed on Saturday and Sunday. Hotels, restaurants and eateries will be allowed to operate at 50 per cent dining capacity though in city areas these establishments will be required to remain closed from 10 PM to 6 AM.

All Government offices will open and function with 50 per cent staff except those involved in essential services which will continue to function with cent per cent staff. Those arriving from outside the state will be allowed to enter on presenting anyone of three- RT-PCR, TruNat or rapid antigen negative test report not more than 72 hours old.

 With similar negative test results, residents of Chamoli district will be allowed to visit Badrinath shrine, Rudraprayag residents will be allowed to visit Kedarnath and Uttarkashi residents will be allowed to visit Gangotri and Yamunotri in the first stage from July 1. The state government will open the Char Dham Yatra for all residents of Uttarakhand from July 11.
