Affected families satisfied at govt efforts- Dhan Singh Rawat

The Health and Education minister Dhan Singh Rawat has said that six teams of the health department have been deployed in the areas affected by the landslide in Joshimath city. Rawat who also is the minister in charge of Chamoli district was on the tour of the Joshimath. After returning from Joshimath, the minister interacted with the media persons on Monday. He said every arrangement is being made in the affected areas to provide succour to the affected families. “ I visited the rehabilitation camps and met more than 50 affected families. The administration under the guidance of Prime Minister Narendra Modi and chief minister Pushkar Singh Dhami is making every possible arrangement. The affected families are being relocated. We would make arrangements to provide shelter to the cattle of the affected families,’’ he said.

 The minister claimed that the people of the Joshimath city are very happy at the government arrangements and appreciate the fact that CM himself went there. He said that six teams of the State Disaster Response Force (SDRF) are camping in Joshimath. The senior most officers are also camping in the city to oversee the arrangements. The Minister said that the Union government has dispatched a survey team which would assess the situation and based on its report the compensation would be provided.
