More rain likely in state today, warning issued for two districts

One day after strong winds caused some damage in Dehradun, the state meteorological centre has forecast that light to moderate rain/thunderstorm are very likely to occur at many places in Uttarakhand on Monday. The meteorological centre has also issued a warning about the possibility of heavy rainfall at isolated places in Pithoragarh and Bageshwar districts. Thunderstorm accompanied with lightning and intense showers is also likely to occur at isolated places in the state. Apart from this, gusty winds (30-40 kmph) are likely to occur at isolated places in the plains of the state. For Dehradun, the meteorological centre has forecast partly cloudy sky with one to two spells of rain/thundershower accompanied with gusty wind likely to occur in some areas. The maximum and minimum temperatures likely to be around 33 degrees Celsius and 23 degrees Celsius respectively.

Meanwhile, the maximum and minimum temperatures recorded at various places on Sunday were 33.4 degrees Celsius and 22.2 degrees Celsius respectively in Dehradun, 34.4 degrees Celsius and 24.8 degrees Celsius in Pantnagar, 20.8 degrees Celsius and 13.8 degrees Celsius in Mukteshwar and 25 degrees Celsius and 14 degrees Celsius respectively in New Tehri.
