No rain or snowfall, foggy conditions to resume in plains

Rain and snowfall in the winter continues to remain elusive in Uttarakhand with no significant rainfall or snowfall being reported in nearly a month now. The State meteorological centre has issued a yellow warning (Watch) regarding the possibility of dense fog likely to occur in some parts of Udham Singh Nagar and Haridwar districts on Wednesday. Ground frost is likely to occur at isolated places in the mountainous regions. Apart from this, dry weather is likely to prevail in the districts of the State today.

The meteorological centre has further forecast that the provisional State capital Dehradun will witness a mainly clear sky with mist/shallow fog likely to occur in some parts today. The maximum and minimum temperatures are likely to be about 22 degrees Celsius and six degrees Celsius respectively in Dehradun on Wednesday.

The maximum and minimum temperatures recorded in various places on Tuesday were 21.4 degrees Celsius and 6.6 degrees Celsius respectively in Dehradun, 16.5 degrees Celsius and 10.6 degrees Celsius in Pantnagar, 12.8 degrees Celsius and 1.4 degrees Celsius in Mukteshwar and 14.4 degrees Celsius and three degrees Celsius in New Tehri.
