BJP manifesto roadmap for making India developed by 2047: Dhami

The election manifesto released by the Bharatiya Janata Party on Sunday is a roadmap for making India a developed nation by 2047. This is a manifesto of Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s guarantee for ensuring service, good governance, welfare of the poor, infrastructural development, women empowerment, taking the youths forward and welfare of every citizen, chief minister Pushkar Singh Dhami said.

Addressing the media here on Monday, a day after the BJP released its Lok Sabha election manifesto, Dhami said, “Before the 2022 Vidhan Sabha election we had resolved to implement the Uniform Civil Code under PM Modi’s leadership. With the blessings of the public we got the UCC bill passed and the President has also approved it.The BJP manifesto states that UCC is important for the entire nation. UCC will help eradicate social evils and ensure the security of all sections of society. The commitments considered by BR Ambedkar while drafting the Constitution of India are being fulfilled by Bharat under PM Modi’s leadership. The manifesto also includes the introduction of a law to check examination paper leaks. In Uttarakhand, we have already introduced a strict anti-copying law following which thousands of youths were provided jobs in a transparent manner.”

 The CM further said that the BJP poll manifesto also focuses on encouraging the one district one product scheme. The Uttarakhand government is already working on one district two products scheme. The manifesto guarantees implementation of one nation one election system. “Development works are disrupted by repeated elections and implementation of the model code of conduct. One nation one election will lend speed to development works. Further, citizenship will be granted to people under the Citizenship Amendment Act. This law has been implemented in the nation. The people who came from Bengal and settled in Khatima, Sitarganj, Nanakmatta, Rudrapur and Dineshpur in Udham Singh Nagar district will also benefit from the implementation of this law,” the CM said.

Dhami further said that the BJP manifesto proposes important schemes to speed up development in mountain States through tourism and development in mountainous States. The development of Uttarakhand and other mountainous States are among the top priorities of PM Modi. Schemes for boosting eco tourism, planned development through master plans, enhancing connectivity, thematic circuit development to provide an experience of the culture and lifestyle of border areas and adventure tourism are proposed in the manifesto for development of mountainous regions. “PM Modi’s guarantee has been presented in the form of our party’s manifesto. The works underway in Uttarakhand will get a boost through this manifesto. There is an atmosphere of unanimous support for the BJP in the State. Everyone wants to contribute to ensure that Modi serves the nation as the PM for the third term,” Dhami said.

The BJP State president Mahendra Bhatt, cabinet minister Ganesh Joshi, Rajya Sabha member Naresh Bansal and others were also present on the occasion.
