Dhami interacts with people from different fields, seeks suggestions

Chief minister Pushkar Singh Dhami has said that a road map to make Uttarakhand one of the leading states of the country by the year 2025 would be prepared after taking suggestions from leading luminaries of different fields. He said this while interacting with the people who have done appreciable work in different fields during ‘Independent Uttarakhand @25 Bodhisattva – Vichar Shrinkhala’ at Janata Darshan hall of his residence on Monday. The CM said that the inputs coming out of the interaction would be used in making strategies for the future. He said that the geographical conditions of the state are unique and the state government is doing every possible effort for all round development of the state. Dhami said that the state government is getting complete support from the union government under guidance of Prime Minister Narendra Modi and the air, road and rail connectivity has increased substantially in the last few years. He said that the schemes are being formulated while keeping the interests of the people standing last on the ladder of the society at the forefront. CM claimed that works in different fields are being done with a long term perspective and works such as the revival of rivers and water bodies, wildlife conservation are being done. Focus is being done to promote local produce and schemes like one district two produce and vocal for local are being undertaken. He appealed that more and more research on the subjects associated with different aspects of Uttarakhand should be done.

In the programme the CM interacted with people doing appreciable works in their field.

BodhisatvaIn his address the recipient of Padma Vibhushan and the founder of Himalayan Environmental Studies and Conservation (HESCO)  Anil Joshi emphasised on collective approach and said that the interaction initiated by CM would yield positive results. He said that Uttarakhand has witnessed many ups and downs in its journey of the last 21 years. Joshi said that Himalayas are young mountains and Uttarakhand is also a young state and it would be proper to bring the youthful approach here. Appreciating the CM Dhami, Joshi said  that people are impressed with the working style and personality of the CM and he has attained popularity in a short period.

In the interaction, Sanjay Bahuguna of Tehri suggested that a collection centre for waste products should be set up so that useful things from them are created. Anil Dangwal of Uttarkashi said that traditional water mills ( Gharats) are being operated in Nakuri village and many women are working in this field. He said that such experiments would be useful for the state.

The secretary H C Semwal, district magistrate of Dehradun R Rajesh Kumar, director Planning Manoj Pant, Durgesh Pant others were present on the occasion. People from different districts were connected online in the programme which was compeered by Kanchan Negi.
