Our govt committed to the principle of Antyodaya- CM Dhami

CM participates in the foundation day programmes of the BJP

The chief minister Pushkar Singh Dhami has said that the organisation of Bharatiya Janata Party functions on the principle of ‘nation first, organisation second and individual last’. He was addressing a programme organised to commemorate the foundation day of the BJP here on Wednesday. He said that Dr Shyama Prasad Mukherjee inculcated the spirit of nationalism in the people of the country. Dhami said dreams of Mukherjee, Pandit Deen Dayal Upadhyaya and Atal Bihari Vajpayee are being fulfilled under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi. He said that today BJP has established itself as the political party which can fulfil the public aspirations. “Today India is moving forward at a fast pace in every field. Our party has given a concept of completing every task with discipline,’’ he said. Remembering former PM Atal Bihari Vajpayee, the CM said that a separate state of Uttarakhand was created due to Vajpayee. Dhami said Uttarakhand is moving forward on the path of development under the guidance of PM Modi. He said many commitments have been taken up with the formation of a new government in Uttarakhand.  “Our priority is to provide the reach of governance and administration to the person standing last on social ladder. The officers have been asked to focus on simplification, solution and fast disposal,’’ he said.

The CM reiterated his promise to implement the Uniform Civil Code (UCC) in the state. He said that the state government has increased the daily stipend of the sanitation workers and made it Rs 500 per day. Dhami said that the promise of providing three free gas cylinders per year to the poor families would be fulfilled in the budget. The CM said that his government has taken a major decision on the old age pension and now both husband and wife in a family would receive the old age pension. He said that development during the leadership of PM Modi would be taken to the general public with the help of many schemes. The CM said that his government would continue to work on the principle of ‘Antyodaya’ to socially and economically uplift the person standing last on social ladder.

Former CM Trivendra Singh Rawat, cabinet minister Ganesh Joshi, general secretary, organisation of BJP Ajey Kumar, MLAs Savita Kapur, Khajan Das, Vinod Chamoli, Mayor Sunil Uniyal Gama, Mahanagar president Sitaram Bhatt and others were present on the occasion.
