He said that the role of the leaders in bestowing favour on a blacklisted Gujarat based company which recruited candidates from Rajasthan on nursing positions in AIIMS Rishikesh should also be investigated. Interacting with the media persons at Congress Bhawan here on Wednesday, the PCC president claimed that the company Rajdeep enterprises, Gandhinagar Gujarat which was given contract of manpower recruitment in AIIMS Rishikesh is blacklisted in Gujarat, Madhya Pradesh and Rajasthan. He said that the dubious designs of the company can be understood from the fact that 600 out of 1200 people recruited in the nursing staff are from Rajasthan.

Terming the claims made by the Pushkar Singh Dhami government on the upcoming Global investors’ summit-2023 as farce, the PCC president Karan Mahara has said that the BJP governments at centre and State are misleading the people in the name of the summit. “The roads in all parts of the state are in a very bad shape, the power supply is erratic, the disasters are continuing to hit the state and the government is clueless in dealing with disaster and the law and order situation is continuing to become worse from bad. Under such circumstances which investor will show interest in Uttarakhand?’’
Mahara said that the State government has hired Global Mckinsey as consultant and is paying it Rs 2.5 lakh per day but the company has done nothing in the last nine months.

He said that AIIMS Rishikesh has become a haven of corruption under the BJP rule and earlier also irregularities were found in purchase of cleaning equipment, skeleton and bones.

The PCC president said that the Gujarat based companies are being awarded most of the contracts in the BJP ruled states which is an example of favouritism. Taking a dig at the State government for deteriorating law and order situation in the State, the PCC president said that fear of law has vanished from the hearts of the criminals. He said that in the last one and half years the crimes against women and Dalits have increased. Mahara said that the investigation in the Ankita Bhandari murder case has not moved forward and the State government is hesitating to order a CBI inquiry in the case as the leader of the ruling party is involved in the crime.
