Cold day conditions likely to continue to two districts today

Minimum temperature likely to dip to 4 °C in Dehradun today

With the mercury level continuing to dip, the State meteorological centre has issued a warning regarding the likelihood of cold day conditions in two plain districts today. In addition to dense fog likely to occur in some parts of Udham Singh Nagar and Haridwar districts especially during morning hours, cold day conditions are also likely to occur at isolated places in these two districts on Friday. Apart from this, dry weather is likely to prevail in the districts today.

The provisional State capital Dehradun is forecast to experience mainly clear sky with mist likely to occur during the morning hours. The maximum and minimum temperatures are likely to be about 23 degrees Celsius and four degrees Celsius respectively in Dehradun on Friday. The minimum temperature in Dehradun and other parts of the State has registered a consistent drop for about a week now. In addition to this, snowfall in some higher reaches has intensified the cold in neighbouring areas.

Meanwhile, the maximum and minimum temperatures recorded at various places in the State on Thursday were 21.9 degrees Celsius and 4.6 degrees Celsius respectively in Dehradun, 10.8 degrees Celsius and 7.3 degrees Celsius in Pantnagar, 15 degrees Celsius and 0.8 degrees Celsius in Mukteshwar and 15.6 degrees Celsius and 2.9 degrees Celsius respectively in New Tehri.
