One more dengue case reported in Dehradun

One new case of dengue was reported in the Dehradun district on Friday. The Chief Medical Officer (CMO) of Dehradun district Dr Manoj Kumar Sharma informed that one dengue patient was hospitalised on Friday and is currently receiving treatment at Shri Mahant Hospital. This brings the total number of confirmed dengue cases (ELISA-positive) to 48, which includes 29 patients from Dehradun and 19 from other districts or states.

Dr Sharma further stated that currently, there are four patients hospitalised: three at Shri Mahant Indiresh Hospital and one at Graphic Era Hospital. On Friday alone, 65 dengue samples were collected, contributing to an overall total of 3,217 samples collected to date. Notably, there have been no reported deaths due to dengue so far. Additionally, on Friday,

ASHAs and volunteers conducted a total of 19,892 house surveys to check for mosquito larvae. Out of these surveys, 74 houses were found to have mosquito larvae. It is important to note that ASHAs and volunteers have conducted a total of 93,729 house surveys so far, of which 298 houses have tested positive for larvae.
