The house would pay homage to CDS Gen Bipin Rawat on the first day

The winter session of Uttarakhand assembly would start from Thursday in Dehradun.  On the first day the members of the house would pay their condolences on the death of Chief of Defence Staff (CDS) General Bipin Rawat. In the meeting of the business advisory committee held on Wednesday it was decided that the condolence motion on death of General Rawat would be tabled. The house would not conduct any other business on the day. The meeting of the BAC was presided over by the Speaker Prem Chand Agarwal and attended by the deputy speaker Raghunath Singh Chauhan, parliamentary affairs minister Banshidhar Bhagat, Leader of Opposition Pritam Singh, Deputy Leader of Congress legislature party Karan Mahra and Govind Singh Kunjwal.

The speaker said that the house would now function on Saturday (December 11) and added the business of the house would be decided by the BAC  meeting on December 9.

In the winter session the Dhami government is planning to table many important bills and the bill to take back the Char Dham Devasthanam Board Act. The opposition Congress would try to corner the government on the issues of law and order, price rise and unemployment.
