Vatsalya Yojana helping children orphaned in pandemic- CM

Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami has said that the loss of the children who lost their parents during the pandemic period cannot be compensated but the Uttarakhand government is doing its best to provide every possible help to them. The state government has started a Mukhyamantri Vatsallya Yojana (MVY) for such children.

 Dhami handed over cheques to three students of Women Institute of Technology (WIT) under the MVY at his residence on Wednesday. CM presented a cheque of Rs 1.70 lakhs to Garima Sharma who is third year Computer science and engineering student, Rs 56,100 to Alvina Khanum of fourth year Electrical engineering and Rs 27,500 to Shipra Negi of fourth year electrical engineering. It is worth mentioning here the WIT has refunded the fees of the pandemic duration of these students under the MVY. The institute would not charge the fees from these students for remaining period of their course. 
The additional chief secretary Radha Raturi, director WIT R P S Gangwar and others were present on the occasion.
