The chairperson of Uttarakhand State Commission for Women (USCW) chairperson Kusum Kandwal appealed to young ladies to maintain distance from unknown and dubious people. She said this after watching the movie The Kerala story along with 96 college students and women on Monday.

She said to the girls that this movie is making them aware by highlighting the past incidents that happened in Kerala. She advised the girl students not to forget their cultural values. They must keep a distance from unknown and dubious people, especially on social media platforms.  Apart from this they must be aware and share their daily routine with their parents, Kandwal said. She further said that under the leadership of chief minister Pushkar Singh Dhami, women are progressing in Uttarakhand. The State government has also made a strict anti-conversion law to prevent incidents of religious conversion through force or inducement. All people should be aware and move forward while retaining their culture and values, she stressed.

Ninety six girl students of MKP, DAV and SGRR including the State President of Akhil Bharatiya Vidyarthi Parishad, Mamta Singh were present on the occasion.
