In latest news from Dehradun, as rain keeps triggering fall of debris on and flooding of railway tracks, 11 trains of Moradabad division, including Vande Bharat Express and Ujjain Express running from Dehradun, have been canceled. It is learnt from the railway department officials that 23 trains have been short- terminated and short- originated while eight trains of the division have been rerouted. With the train timings being changed and rerouted, the passengers are being inconvenienced.

Senior divisional commercial manager (Coaching) of Northern Railway Moradabad Division Sudhir Singh said that the train movement is being affected due to waterlogged tracks and debris falling on the tracks in Sirhind-Nangal Dam and Chandigarh-Sahnewal railway section of Ambala division and Delhi-Delhi Shahdara of Delhi division. Besides, OHE pole in Haridwar yard has been uprooted. These factors combined have forced the cancellation of some trains and rerouting of some others.
