Govt staffers, teachers demand stern action against Jeena

In latest news from Uttarakhand, members of the employees’ and teachers’ organisations of Uttarkashi district served a memorandum to the chief minister through the office ADM Uttarkashi in protest against the mistreatment of senior officers and staffers of the Dehradun Municipal Corporation by an MLA Mahesh Singh Jeena.    They, in the memorandum,   demanded immediate stern action so as to stop recurrence of such ruckus and humiliation of the government officers and employees. Notably,   after this incident, the teachers’ unions and other staff unions had held a joint meeting and chalked out strategy. They threatened that if such incident repeats they would go for a full-blown, indefinite stir.  They also demanded security for the government staffers. Among those present during the memorandum submission were Gopal Singh Rana, Ram Prakash Rawat, J P Bijalwan, Anand Negi and Prakash Panwa.
