15-year-old had gone with friends to a railway gate & was taking selfies at the time of mishap
A teenager died after being hit by a speeding train when he was taking selfies near a railway gate. The incident took place on Friday afternoon. According to sources, resident of Shahpur village under the Gangnahar Kotwali area, 15-year-old Ankush Saini had gone near the Shahpur railway gate with his friends on Friday afternoon. At about 12:30 PM he started taking selfies after seeing a train approaching on the track near the railway gate. He was hit by the speeding train while taking selfies. The teenager is reported to have died on the spot. His shocked friends began shouting after the mishap. Alarmed by their shouts, the villagers from nearby reached the site of the mishap. The family members of the teen also reached the site after being informed about the accident.
On receiving information about the fatal mishap, in-charge of Gangnahar Kotwali, inspector Aishwarya Pal also arrived on the spot. The police took possession of the body of the teenager. Pal informed that the police are investigating the matter. Till the time of this report being filed, the police had not received any complaint regarding the accident.
