The Union minister of State for Defence and Tourism, Ajay Bhatt handed over appointment letters to 204 candidates selected in various departments at the Rozgar Mela held at the General Post Office compound here on Tuesday. The youths had come from various parts of the State to receive the appointment letters.
Addressing the selected candidates on the occasion, Bhatt congratulated them and emphasised on the government’s commitment to ensure a fair and transparent recruitment process. He stressed on the importance of honesty in the discharge of the duties to the new appointees. He informed that till the fourth Rozgar Mela campaign, 2,88,000 candidates have been given employment.
Bhatt highlighted the visionary leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi stating that under his leadership the nation is fast becoming self-reliant in various sectors from manufacturing to technology and defence. Rajya Sabha MP Naresh Bansal, Rajpur Road MLA Khajan Das and Dehradun mayor Sunil Uniyal ‘Gama’ were also present on the occasion. The gathering also listened to the virtual address of PM Modi at the event.
