Rain in three districts, dry weather in remaining districts forecast for today

Residents in some parts of the state have experienced some relief from the rising temperatures with light rain causing some drop in the temperatures. This trend is likely to continue on the weekend. The state meteorological centre has forecast the possibility of very light to light rainfall/thunderstorm occurring at isolated places in Uttarkashi, Chamoli and Pithoragarh districts on Saturday while dry weather is likely to prevail in remaining districts of the state.

The provisional state capital Dehradun is forecast to experience mainly clear to partly cloudy skies with the maximum and minimum temperatures likely to be about 35 degrees Celsius and 17 degrees Celsius respectively on Saturday.

Meanwhile, the maximum and minimum temperatures recorded in various parts of the state on Friday were 35.2 degrees Celsius and 17.2 degrees Celsius respectively in Dehradun, 37.6 degrees Celsius and 16.2 degrees Celsius in Pantnagar, 24.7 degrees Celsius and 9.3 degrees Celsius in Mukteshwar and 22.6 degrees Celsius and 10.4 degrees Celsius respectively in New Tehri.
