Police stage flag march in Dunda for peaceful poll

In latest news from Uttarakhand, acting on the direction of the Uttarkashi superintendent of police Arpan Yaduvanshi, Uttarkashi police organised a flag march in Dunda area to instil       a sense of security among the electorate ahead of the upcoming Lok Sabha election-2024. Led by the inspector-in-charge Kotwali Uttarkashi Amarjeet Singh, the flag march, comprising police and para- military personnel, conveyed the message of facilitating free, fair and peaceful election, said a district police officer.

The flag march snaked through Dunda area and the personnel told the people about the importance of exercising franchise in participatory democracy. After the march concluded, Singh said that the police and paramilitary forces are ready to go all-out to help people cast votes freely without any coercion or intimidation. He asked the people to contact them in case they face any inconvenience during election.
