The Pauri district police arrested a man accused of molesting a minor in an area under the Revenue police jurisdiction. The police team arrested Manish Sharma near Satpuli bus station. A local resident of Satpuli had registered a complaint with the Revenue police post at Manyarsyun of the district on February 5 stating that his daughter had not returned from school. The Revenue police registered a case against unknown under section 365 of Indian Penal Code. Taking it as a serious crime, the case had been transferred to regular police by the district magistrate. The Pauri senior superintendent of police Yashwant Singh Chauhan instructed police personnel to take immediate action on crimes against women and arrest the accused. Additional superintendent of police Manisha Joshi constituted a police team under the police station in-charge Lakhan Singh. On the investigation of the case, the name of Manish Sharma (23) came to light. The police team searched for the accused in many places including his native place on receiving tip offs from informers and finally arrested him from near the Satpuli bus station. The police added sections 363, 376 of IPC and 3/4 POCSO Act in the case and are also collecting the crime history of the accused.
