One person was arrested by the Lakshmanjhula police in a murder case which took place on Saturday. The accused Ajay Chauhan was sent by the court to judicial custody. Lakshmanjhula resident Manoj Singh had filed a police report on Saturday stating that an employee of a tourist camp Yashpal Negi had been murdered by the accused. Additional superintendent of police Manisha Joshi constituted a team which managed to apprehend Ajay Chauhan alias Ajju from Eklavya adventure camp, Lakshmanjhula area. Chauhan (22) is a resident of Ambala, Haryana.
It is pertinent to mention that the police were informed that there had been an altercation between employees of Shivalik camp and Eklavya camp in Gattughat area.On reaching the site, the police ascertained that four persons of Shivalik camp were injured in the incident. The injured were taken to a hospital in Rishikesh where seriously injured Yashpal Negi was declared dead by the doctors.
