Amit Shah  attends ITBP raising day parade

In latest news from Dehradun, the Union home minister Amit Shah attended the raising day parade of the Indo-Tibetan Border Police (ITBP) as the chief guest. Aside from Shah, the State chief minister Pushkar Singh Dhami along with some cabinet ministers was present. Shah launched five projects across the country digitally on the occasion.  

While greeting the people on Dhanteras and Deepawali festivals, he urged them to light a diya dedicated to the jawans while lighting Deepawali diyas in their homes. “We are sleeping peacefully thanks to the snow warriors remaining sleepless to protect the high-altitude frontiers of the country,” he said. He further said that if the border villages are un-inhabited it threatens security of the border and added that such highly vulnerable villages from the security point of view must be provided with all possible facilities, considering them as the first villages of the country. He assured that 168 such villages would not just be connected by roads but with electricity and other essential amenities in one year.
