Though the diurnal variation in temperature is likely to remain considerable for a few more days, light rain and snowfall is forecast at places in the higher reaches of three districts on Sunday. According to the State meteorological centre, the diurnal variation in temperature is likely to remain 18 degrees Celsius and above at a few places in the plains and valleys for the State for the next three to four days. At the same time, very light to light rain/thunderstorm/snowfall is likely to occur at isolated places especially in the higher reaches of Uttarkashi, Chamoli and Pithoragarh districts on Sunday. Apart from this, dry weather is likely to prevail in the remaining districts of Uttarakhand.
The provisional State capital Dehradun is likely to witness mainly clear skies with the maximum and minimum temperatures are likely to be about 29 degrees Celsius and 12 degrees Celsius respectively on Sunday. The maximum and minimum temperatures recorded in various parts of the State on Saturday were 29.3 degrees Celsius and 11.6 degrees Celsius respectively in Dehradun, 27.8 degrees Celsius and 7.2 degrees Celsius in Pantnagar, 20.1 degrees Celsius and six degrees Celsius in Mukteshwar and 20 degrees Celsius and 8.6 degrees Celsius in New Tehri.
