DM inspects polls counting site ahead of counting of votes on March 10

In view of the counting of votes polled in the Assembly elections scheduled to be held on March 10, the district magistrate and chief election officer of Dehradun, R Rajesh Kumar conducted an inspection of the counting site set up at Maharana Pratap Sports College in Raipur on Friday to check the arrangements. He reviewed the arrangements and directed the officials concerned to keep sufficient space at the site and make suitable arrangements for the representatives of the candidates from respective assembly constituencies of the district besides making suitable arrangements for easy movements for entries and exits. 

The DM also instructed to install adequate CCTV cameras and ensure proper lighting at the counting site besides properly naming the counters as per the respective constituencies and marking all the entry and exit places for permitted persons. He directed the officials to take all the possible steps to avoid any hindrances during the counting of votes on March 10.

The chief development officer (CDO) Nitika Khandelwal, additional district magistrate (administration) Shiv Kumar Baranwal and the Principal of Maharana Pratap Sports College Rajesh Mamgain were also present during the inspection.
