The minimum temperature in Dehradun dropped by a notch on Sunday and is likely to drop further on Monday. The maximum temperature in Dehradun on Sunday was three degrees above normal. This along with a clear sky throughout the day countered the winter conditions in the city. The State meteorological centre has forecast that the provisional State capital will witness a mainly clear sky today with mist likely to occur during the morning hours. The maximum and minimum temperatures are likely to be about 26 degrees Celsius and nine degrees Celsius in Dehradun today.
Further, dry weather is likely to prevail in districts of the State. Shallow to moderate fog is likely to occur in some parts of Udham Singh Nagar and Haridwar districts during the morning hours on Monday.
The maximum and minimum temperatures recorded in various places on Sunday were 26.8 degrees Celsius and 9.8 degrees Celsius respectively in Dehradun, 28 degrees Celsius and 9.1 degrees Celsius in Pantnagar, 14.6 degrees Celsius and 5.2 degrees Celsius in Mukteshwar and 16 degrees Celsius and 5.4 degrees Celsius in New Tehri.
