People of Garhwal eager to send Baluni to parliament: CM

Continuing his whirlwind campaign for Bharatiya Janata Party candidates in the Lok Sabha election, chief minister Pushkar Singh Dhami addressed the public at Chaubattakhal in Pauri district in support of Garhwal candidate Anil Baluni on Monday.

Speaking on the occasion, the CM said that the entire country is determined to make Narendra Modi as Prime Minister of the country for a third consecutive term. He expressed confidence that the people of Garhwal will send Anil Baluni to the parliament with a record margin. The CM said that the public meetings of the BJP are being thronged by the women which is a good sign of the BJP and its candidates.

 He said that under the leadership of PM Modi many historic decisions have been taken. The morale of the armed forces is high and One Rank One Pension (OROP) benefit was given to the armed forces veterans.  The army of our country is now responding to bullets with bombs. 

The CM said that the national President of Congress has recently said that the people of Rajasthan have nothing to do with removal of article 370 in Kashmir. Dhami also attacked the Congress party for insulting Late Chief of Defence Staff (CDS) General Bipin Rawat.

In a sarcastic attack on the Congress party, the CM said that the Congress party has tried to launch its Prince many times in the  past but every time his launch has turned out into a failure.

He said that decisions such implementation of Citizenship Amendment Act (CAA) and abrogation of article 370 of constitution has occurred under the leadership of PM Modi. Similarly construction of a mega temple of Lord Ram has been completed and the economy of the country is now the fifth biggest economy of the world.

 The CM said that many developmental projects are going on in the State. The reconstruction of Kedarnath shrine has occurred and the work on the Rishikesh- Karnprayag rail line is underway.

The State government has implemented a stringent anti-copying act and the recruitment examinations are being held as per the calendar. Anti riot ordinance has been brought and 30 per cent reservation in government jobs is being given to women. Dhami said that projects worth Rs 129 crore in Chaubattakhal are either going on or have been completed.

The meeting was also attended by BJP candidate from Garhwal Anil Baluni, cabinet minister Satpal Maharaj and other leaders.
