The Meghdoot theatre group staged ‘Bhay Binu Hoi Na Preeti’ based on Ramcharit Manas by Goswami Tulsidas on Sunday. Forest minister Subodh Uniyal was the chief guest on the occasion. Congratulating theatre artist SP Mamgain for the packed venue, Uniyal said that Tulsidas had guided the Indian consciousness in difficult conditions.
Mamgain had directed the play. Sunil Tanwar played the role of Lord Shiva, Sapna Gulati played the role of Goddess Parvati, Siddharth Dangwal played the role of Lord Ram, Mitali Punetha played the role of Goddess Sita, Vijay Dabral played the role of Hanuman while Anil Dutt Sharma played the role of Ravan. It is pertinent to mention here that a number of actors from the Meghdoot theatre group have gone on to act in films, television and theatre in various parts of the nation.
